Judgment - A judicial decision; the determination of a court. Civil Suit - An action other than criminal proceedings. Enforce - To put into execution. Garnishment - A proceeding whereby a plaintiff creditor seeks to subject his or her claim of property or money of a third party. Lien - A claim, encumbrance, or charge on property for payment of some debt, obligation or duty. Satisfaction - Payment for an injury or of money owed. Wage Assignment - An instrument whereby an employee assigns to his creditor the right to receive payments out of future wages.
